Water sports on the Kenyan Coast

Scuba Diving on the North Coast of Kenya: Blue Marine Diving - PADI Resort Center is based on the North Coast of Mombasa. Owned and managed by Florian Schollinger who has been diving the coastal waters since he learnt how to swim at a very young age. Together with his wife Karine, they specialize in diving excursions and courses. Florian is an Honorary Warden with the Kenya Wildlife Service.

Aviation Transport in Kenya
Main International Airports:
From whichever destination you will be flying into Kenya, the 2 main airports are:
Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) situated in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya.
This is the biggest Airport in East and Central Africa located 18 kilometres to the East of Nairobi, and is currently served by 49 scheduled airlines. JKIA has direct flight connections to Europe, the Middle East, Far East and the African Continent.
Moi International airport situated in Mombasa, the biggest city on the East African coast.
Kenya’s second largest airport with more than 18 airlines flying directly from and to Europe, offers connections to over twenty cities in Kenya. Mombasa is an attractive tourist destination therefore the airport has been developed to handle long haul international airline as well as charter flights.
National Airports:
Wilson Airport situated in Nairobi
Wilson Airport is located to the South of Nairobi and is mainly used for national connection to more rural airports and airstrips such as Eldoret, Masai Mara, Ukunda, Vipingo, Manda, Lamu, Malindi, Kerichio, Amboseli, Meru, Mt. Kenya to name a few.
Malindi Airport
The Airport is 2.5 Km west of Malindi Town and easy accessible for holiday destinations north of Malindi as well as Kilifi area situated 30 minutes drive south of the airport towards Mombasa.
Vipingo Airstrip “The Ridge”
Situated in a new up market development project called The Ridge in the centre of a sisal plantation overlooking the Ocean. This airstrip is perfectly situated for easy access to Kilifi, Vipingo, Mtwapa as well as the north coast of Mombasa.
Ukunda Airstrip
Situated in the south coast holiday destination very close to Diani Beach providing easy access to all hotel and villas as well as commercial sites south of Likoni ferry up to Shimoni situated north of the Tanzania boarder.

VISA Requirements
Visas are required for most nationals and cost US$50. A visa can be obtained on entry before passport control and luggage collection, however we recommended one be obtained before arrival to avoid airport lengthy queues. Visa Application Forms are available online - DOWNLOAD VISA APPLICATION FORM
Standard Visa fees payable by cash to the Embassy of Kenya.
Visa fees charges:
Multiple entry: 100 USD
Single entry: 50 USD /40 EURO
Visa payment can be settled in US Dollars, British Pounds or Euros.
